UAH 750 thousand in compensation and UAH 15 million for drones: HACC approves agreement with former MP

On March 2, 2026, the High Anti-Corruption Court approved a plea agreement between a prosecutor from the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office and Vadym Nesterenko, a member of the Ukrainian Parliament of the 8th convocation.

The case involves the illegal receipt of compensation for hotel accommodations and housing rent, which caused the state losses of over 750,000 UAH.

Sentence and Terms of the Agreement

In accordance with the approved agreement, the court found the defendant guilty under Part 2 of Article 364 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine and sentenced him to:

  • 3 years of imprisonment;
  • a ban on holding certain positions in government bodies;
  • a fine of 17,000 UAH.

At the same time, the individual was released from serving the principal sentence with probation pursuant to Part 2 of Article 75 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The court established a probationary period with the imposition of duties prescribed by law.

15 million UAH to support the defense

As part of the agreement, the convicted person undertook to transfer 15 million UAH to the account of the “Come Back Alive” charitable foundation for the purchase of attack drones for the Ukrainian Defense Forces.

It is also noted that the former member of parliament has fully compensated the state for the damages caused.
