Ukraine has received the first tranche of $1.5 billion under the new four-year Extended Fund Facility (EFF) program from the International Monetary Fund. The funds have already been credited to the state budget and will be used to finance priority expenditures and support the country’s macrofinancial stability.

The total program amount is $8.1 billion. It provides for the continued implementation of structural reforms aimed at strengthening the financial system, increasing the transparency of state institutions, and ensuring stable economic development.

Since the start of the full-scale war, Ukraine has received $14.9 billion in financial support from the IMF for the state budget. These resources play a key role in maintaining economic stability under martial law, ensuring social payments, the functioning of public services, and supporting defense capabilities.

Receiving the first tranche under the new program confirms international partners’ confidence in the reform course Ukraine is implementing. The government continues to fulfill its commitments agreed upon with the IMF, focusing on maintaining macroeconomic stability, strengthening the rule of law, and advancing the European integration course.

Ukraine expresses its gratitude to international partners for their consistent support and strategic partnership during this difficult time for the country.
