A CCC employee was fined 17 thousand hryvnias for turning off his body camera.

The Rozhnyativ District Court of Ivano-Frankivsk Region found a serviceman of the Territorial Center for Recruiting and Social Support guilty of negligent attitude to military service. The reason was that during the verification of military registration documents, he did not perform the mandatory video recording on a chest camera.

The court imposed a fine of 17 thousand hryvnias on the serviceman. In addition, he must pay 665.60 hryvnias of court fees.

What happened

The incident occurred on March 9, 2026 in Broshniv-Osad, Kalush district. The alert group, which included two servicemen of the CCC and a police officer, was traveling in a service car.

The policeman noticed a man of draft age and decided to check his military registration documents. Seeing the car, the man began to run away and hid in the basement of an apartment building.

Two servicemen went down to the basement, found the man, explained the reason for the inspection and invited him to leave.

The body camera remained turned off

During these actions, one of the servicemen was supposed to be recording video, but his chest camera was turned off.

The court found that because of this, the photo and video recording of the actions of the CCC representatives during the inspection of military registration documents, as provided for by the rules, was not ensured. The requirements for the use of appropriate technical means are determined by the instructions of the Ministry of Defense.

What the court decided

During the consideration of the case, the serviceman admitted his guilt and confirmed the circumstances set out in the protocol. The court also examined the materials of the official investigation and other documents.

His actions were qualified under Part 2 of Article 172-15 of the Code of Administrative Offenses – negligent attitude of a military official to military service in a special period.

The court adopted the resolution on August 27, 2026. The serviceman was fined 17,000 hryvnias and charged a court fee of 665.60 hryvnias. The decision can be appealed within ten days.
