After the government — Naftogaz: Svyridenko is predicted to have a new appointment

Former Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Svyridenko may receive a new managerial position and head NJSC Naftogaz of Ukraine. According to media reports, the relevant personnel decision may be implemented closer to the spring of 2027.

How Svyridenko may be appointed

According to the publication, the possible appointment is planned to be carried out in several stages.

Initially, Yulia Svyridenko may be introduced to the board of NJSC Naftogaz of Ukraine. After that, she may be entrusted with the duties of the chairman of the board of the company.

At the same time, the final decision on the appointment of the head of Naftogaz falls within the powers of the company’s supervisory board.

People’s Deputy declared the support of the supervisory board

Information about the possible appointment of Svyridenko was also made public by People’s Deputy Oleksiy Honcharenko.

According to him, the supervisory board of Naftogaz supposedly already has the necessary number of votes to support her candidacy.

At the same time, there is no official decision as of now. NJSC Naftogaz of Ukraine, the company’s supervisory board, and the government have not publicly confirmed information about Svyrydenko’s future appointment.

Who currently manages Naftogaz

Currently, the duties of the chairman of the board of NJSC Naftogaz of Ukraine are performed by Serhiy Fedorenko.

Before that, the company was headed by Serhiy Koretsky, who became the Prime Minister of Ukraine in July 2026.

It was after the personnel changes in the government and Koretsky’s transfer to the position of head of the Cabinet that the issue of a new permanent head of Naftogaz remained open.

Svyrydenko left the government in July

Yulia Svyrydenko has headed the Cabinet of Ministers since July 2025.

In July 2026, President Volodymyr Zelensky announced a government reshuffle, and later the Verkhovna Rada supported the resignation of the Cabinet of Ministers headed by Svyrydenko.

After that, Serhiy Koretsky became the new Prime Minister.

Now, according to media reports, Svyrydenko may return to one of the key positions in the public sector – this time in the energy sector.

At the same time, until the official decision is made and published, information about her appointment remains at the level of reports from sources and statements by individual politicians.
