After the tragic events in the capital, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky announced the preparation of large-scale personnel changes in the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine. According to him, the law enforcement system requires a deep renewal, because the current mechanisms do not fully meet the security challenges.
“New people and new responsibility”
In his address, the head of state emphasized: this is not about point solutions, but about a comprehensive reboot.
“We must ensure the effective and transparent work of law enforcement agencies. This requires new people, new approaches and new responsibility,” the president emphasized.
It is expected that the changes will affect both top management and the middle level of the system.
Focus on efficiency and trust
Personnel decisions are considered as part of a broader reform of state institutions. The key goal is to increase the efficiency of law enforcement agencies, strengthen the fight against corruption and restore public trust.
Political circles are already discussing possible changes in the structure of the National Police of Ukraine and specialized departments.
Decision — soon
According to the president, specific personnel steps — dismissals and new appointments — may be announced in the coming weeks.
These changes should be the beginning of a new stage of reforming the law enforcement system, which will determine its further effectiveness in ensuring the safety of citizens.
A new stage of reforms
The statement of the head of state actually signals a transition to more decisive actions in the transformation of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. This is not only about personnel purges, but also about changing approaches to the work of the entire system — with an emphasis on transparency, responsibility and results.
