Not a mass phenomenon, but individual incidents
In the United States and European Union countries, there are isolated cases of deportation of Ukrainian citizens who violated local legislation. This is not a systematic or mass practice, but individual incidents.
This was reported by Ruslan Gorbenko, a member of parliament from the Servant of the People party, during a telethon.
Dozens of cases, including from the USA
According to the parliamentarian, the total number of such cases is currently measured in dozens. In particular, more than ten deportations have already been recorded from the United States of America.
At the same time, he emphasized that we are not talking about hundreds or a large-scale wave of returns of Ukrainians from abroad.
The reasons are violations of local legislation
Deportations occur in cases where Ukrainian citizens violate the laws of the host countries. In such situations, the relevant authorities make decisions on the forced return of individuals to their homeland.
This practice complies with generally accepted norms of international law and domestic legislation of states.
What happens after returning to Ukraine
After deportation, citizens may undergo verification procedures stipulated by Ukrainian legislation. This depends on the nature of the violations that became the basis for expulsion.
The authorities emphasize: compliance with the laws of the host country is a key condition for avoiding such situations and ensuring a smooth stay abroad.
