In Kyiv, ex-judges reported under suspicion over shooting after remarks about Russian music

In Kyiv, a man who was a judge of the Shevchenkivskyi District Court of the capital at the time of the incident was reported as suspicious. According to the investigation, during a conflict over loud Russian music, he pulled out a firearm and fired three shots.
This was reported by the Prosecutor General’s Office.
The conflict occurred near a playground
According to law enforcement, the incident occurred in May 2026 near a playground in Kyiv.
The cause of the conflict was a remark about listening to Russian music loudly.
The investigation established that the man reacted aggressively to the remark, got out of the car and started an argument.
During the conflict, he pulled out a firearm, brought it into combat readiness and pointed it at people.
Three shots were fired during the conflict
Despite calls from others to calm down, the man did not stop his actions.
One of the participants in the conflict managed to knock him to the ground and tried to take away his weapon. However, the suspect managed to fire three shots.
The prosecutor’s office emphasized that such actions created a real threat to the life and health of people who were nearby.
Ex-judge reported suspicion
Currently, the man no longer holds the position of judge of the Shevchenkivskyi District Court of Kyiv.
He was reported on suspicion of hooliganism with the use of a weapon.
