In October, some Ukrainians will have their pensions increased: who will receive payments automatically?

In October 2026, certain categories of Ukrainian pensioners will receive increased payments. The recalculation should take place automatically – no additional applications are required for this.

The increase will primarily affect pensioners whose payments depend on the subsistence minimum, as well as citizens who are entitled to age-related and other prescribed supplements.

Who will have their pensions increased in October

In particular, changes are provided for:

disabled citizens who receive the minimum pension;

pensioners over 70 years of age who are entitled to age-related supplements;
people with disabilities who are provided with increased allowances;
combatants;
persons who have special merits and the corresponding right to an increase in payments.

A supplement is also provided for pensioners whose pension amount after the recalculation turns out to be lower than the established guaranteed minimum. In this case, the payment should be brought to a certain level.

Do I need to apply to the Pension Fund

No. The recalculation will be carried out automatically, so pensioners do not need to contact the Pension Fund or submit applications.

The updated amounts should be reflected in the October payments. You can check the new amount of your pension in your personal account on the Pension Fund of Ukraine web portal.

The changes are associated with the autumn package of social measures aimed at supporting vulnerable categories of the population against the background of rising costs in preparation for the heating season.
