Prosecutor General Ruslan Kravchenko, who announced his decision to resign, signed a letter of suspicion against the director of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine, Semen Kryvonos. This is a case that is about 18 years old. After that, Kravchenko announced that he was going abroad on a business trip.

According to Ruslan Kravchenko, the purpose of his trip abroad is to meet with international partners and discuss the situation surrounding Ukrainian anti-corruption agencies.

Kravchenko said that he intends to tell his partners about how he sees the real state of affairs in the work of the anti-corruption system of Ukraine.

Suspicion against the director of the NABU

Before his resignation, Kravchenko signed a letter of suspicion against the director of the NABU, Semen Kryvonos. The case is based on events that took place about 18 years ago.

The situation caused a resonance due to the time of the announcement of the suspicion and the confrontation between the leadership of the prosecutor’s office and the anti-corruption agencies.

The NABU and the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky have already reacted to Kravchenko’s actions.

Kravchenko went abroad

After the announcement of Kryvonos’ suspicion, Ruslan Kravchenko announced that he was on a business trip abroad.

According to him, during the trip he plans to convey his position on the work of NABU and other anti-corruption bodies to international partners.
