Ukrainian military personnel can receive a one-time cash benefit from the state in the amount of up to 33,280 hryvnias. However, the payment is not provided for all defenders. It is assigned under certain conditions, and the amount depends on the military rank and category of the composition.
In 2026, the right to a one-time benefit is available to military personnel who are entering into a fixed-term contract for military service for the first time. The amount of the payment depends on which category of the military personnel the person belongs to.
Who can receive up to 33,280 hryvnias
Three amounts of one-time benefit are provided for military personnel:
26,624 hryvnias — for private military personnel.
29,952 hryvnias — for sergeants and non-commissioned officers.
33,280 hryvnias — for officers.
Thus, the largest amount is provided for officers who meet the conditions for the provision of assistance.
At the same time, the payment is not automatically accrued to all servicemen. The key condition is the first conclusion of a fixed-term contract.
Can mobilized servicemen receive assistance
Ukrainians who are already undergoing military service under mobilization can also conclude a contract.
However, the mere fact of switching to a contractual form of service does not guarantee receiving a lump-sum payment.
To be assigned assistance, it is necessary to meet the requirements established by law, in particular regarding the first conclusion of a fixed-term contract.
Who has the right to serve under a contract
Contracting a contract for military service can be done by citizens of Ukraine, foreigners and stateless persons who have reached the age of 18 and meet the established requirements.
Contract service provides for regular financial support, social guarantees and certain conditions of service.
In addition, servicemen can choose a position taking into account education, professional training, experience and the needs of military units.
Are all contract workers paid assistance
No. The right to a lump sum payment depends on the fulfillment of the conditions stipulated by law.
In particular, a serviceman must first conclude a fixed-term contract that meets the requirements for the payment.
Therefore, not every contract worker will automatically receive additional funds.
Servicemen who plan to conclude a contract should clarify in advance the conditions for the assignment of a lump sum payment in the relevant personnel or financial unit.
We remind you that in addition to a lump sum payment, servicemen may receive additional payments depending on the nature of the tasks performed and the conditions of service.
