Nationwide Searches in Ukrainian Hospitals: Police Expose Large-Scale Embezzlement Schemes in Healthcare Sector

On Friday, March 20, the National Police of Ukraine launched a large-scale operation, conducting approximately 70 searches in medical institutions across the country. The investigative actions are part of a probe into alleged embezzlement of public funds allocated for patient treatment under the state’s Medical Guarantees Program.

According to law enforcement authorities, the investigation focuses on organized schemes involving the provision of fictitious medical services and manipulation of data within Ukraine’s electronic healthcare system.
