NEURC approved new tariffs for gas storage and injection for Ukrtransgaz

The National Commission for State Regulation in the Spheres of Energy and Utilities has approved new tariffs for Ukrtransgaz for storage, injection and withdrawal of natural gas. The regulator made the relevant decision during a meeting on May 26.

The new tariffs will be effective from June 1, 2026 to March 31, 2029 inclusive and are set within the framework of stimulating multi-year regulation.

According to the decision of the National Commission for State Regulation in the Sphere of Energy and Utilities, excluding VAT, the cost of services will be:

natural gas storage — UAH 0.36 per 1,000 cubic meters per day;
natural gas injection and withdrawal — UAH 290.45 per 1,000 cubic meters per day.

The regulator also approved a system of coefficients that will be applied depending on the term of the capacity order.

In particular:

for annual storage capacity and combined capacity, the coefficient will be 0.9;

for the base injection season – 1;
for the base withdrawal season – 1;
for monthly capacity booking – 1.1;
for day-ahead capacity booking – 1.2.

The NEURC notes that the decision is aimed at ensuring stable operation of gas storage facilities and forming predictable conditions for natural gas market participants.

Recall that earlier the NEURC also agreed to increase tariffs for Ukrenergo for electricity transmission and dispatching.
