The OKKO gas station network is increasing security measures for employees and visitors amid Russian attacks. Temporary protective structures have already been installed at more than 75 gas stations, and by the end of October 2026, the company plans to increase their number to 120.
How gas station employees and customers will be protected
The company is gradually equipping gas stations with special concrete structures designed to protect people in times of danger.
The weight of such structures can reach 40 tons, and the thickness of the concrete walls is 30 centimeters. For additional strength, the structures are equipped with triple cross reinforcement and external buttresses.
According to the company, all structures are certified and meet established safety requirements.
OKKO Operations Director Olena Voroshilo emphasized that the protection of employees and customers remains one of the company’s top priorities.
“The safety of people – our employees and customers – is an absolute priority for us,” she noted.
Anti-drone nets and additional equipment protection
In addition to installing concrete protective structures, OKKO is implementing additional engineering solutions to reduce the risk of damage to gas stations.
In particular, the company uses anti-drone nets, protection of fuel dispensers from FPV drones, gabions with sand, and special armored film for windows.
OKKO also joined the Unified Threat Alert System. According to the company, it became the first among fuel retail representatives to join this system.
Such a mechanism allows you to promptly inform personnel about the danger, suspend work processes, and move to protected areas.
OKKO’s losses from Russian attacks exceeded $150 million
Since the beginning of the full-scale Russian invasion, the company has suffered significant material losses.
According to OKKO, the total amount of losses due to Russian attacks has already exceeded $150 million.
Since 2022, more than 80 gas stations of the network and more than 10 oil depots have been damaged, including its own facilities and those where the company stored fuel.
At the same time, more than 90% of the damaged gas stations have already resumed work.
The company emphasizes that maintaining stable operation of the network is important for providing fuel to the Ukrainian military, critical infrastructure facilities, volunteer organizations, enterprises and the population.
OKKO plans to further expand the network of protective structures and strengthen the engineering protection of gas stations.
