Oksen Lisovyi may leave the post of Minister of Education — media

The Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine, Oksen Lisovy, may resign in the near future. This was reported to the “Sudovo-Yurydychnaya Gazeta” by sources familiar with the situation in government circles.

There is currently no official confirmation of possible personnel changes. At the same time, information about the possible dismissal of the head of the Ministry of Education and Science is being actively discussed in political circles and the educational environment.

Recall that the Verkhovna Rada appointed Oksen Lisovy as the Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine on March 21, 2023. Before that, he headed the National Center “Small Academy of Sciences of Ukraine”.

Previously, Lisovy himself stated that he had not received any official signals about his possible dismissal and had not had any relevant conversations with the state leadership.

In the event of personnel changes, this could become one of the most high-profile reshuffles in the government in recent times, because the Ministry of Education and Science is currently at the center of large-scale reforms and discussions about the future of Ukrainian education during the war.
