Oschadbank and Ukreximbank became the owners of the Gulliver shopping center due to debts

State-owned Oschadbank and Ukreximbank received ownership of one of the largest shopping and entertainment centers in Kyiv — Gulliver Shopping Center. The property was transferred to the banks as a collection of debt obligations of the previous owner.

Oleksandr Bevz, a member of the supervisory board of Ukreximbank, reported on the transfer of ownership. According to him, the result became possible after long-term work by teams of state-owned banks, state agencies and legal advisors.

Debts reached hundreds of millions of dollars

The story of debt around Gulliver has been going on for many years. In 2016, citing unofficial sources, it was reported that Oschadbank had issued a loan of $460 million to the company Three O, which managed the complex.

In 2018, Oschadbank and Ukreximbank put up for sale claims on loans secured by the Gulliver Shopping Center. The starting price was UAH 18.2 billion.

Later, the media published data from the State Register of Real Property Rights, according to which the debt of LLC “Three O” to “Oschadbank” amounted to $ 537.2 million, and to “Ukreximbank” – $ 137.8 million. The total amount amounted to about $ 675 million.

What happened to “Gulliver”

In June 2024, the Shevchenkivskyi District Court of Kyiv transferred the property of the Gulliver shopping center, associated with businessman Viktor Polishchuk, to the management of ARMA.

In January 2025, a competition was held on Prozorro to select the manager of the shopping center. Three applicants took part in it, but later the candidacies of all participants were rejected. In April, ARMA announced a new competition.

Now Oschadbank and Ukreximbank have received ownership of the complex in return for repaying the debts of its previous owner.
