Men aged 18 to 60 who are abroad will be able to apply for a foreign passport only if they have a current military registration document in the Reserve+ application. The document must be generated no later than 72 hours before contacting a diplomatic institution.
The package of documents remains standard
In addition to electronic military registration, applicants must submit a standard package of documents: previous passports, internal passport or ID card, identification code, as well as confirmation of the place of residence or stay abroad.
Procedure and deadlines
Application is carried out in person – the application is formed by the consul in the presence of the citizen. Passport production takes up to three months, however, express delivery through postal services is available for an additional fee.
Strengthening control
The introduction of the “Reserve+” requirement is part of the general state policy to update the military registration of citizens abroad and strengthen control over the performance of duties in the field of defense.
