Pensions in August 2026: who will receive a supplement of up to UAH 570 and what minimum payments are guaranteed by the state

In August 2026, some Ukrainian pensioners will receive monthly age-related pension supplements. The maximum amount of such compensation will be 570 hryvnias. Payments are assigned automatically and depend on the pensioner’s age.

This was reported by the Pension Fund of Ukraine.

Who will receive age-related supplements

Pensioners who have reached the age of 70, 75 or 80 years are entitled to a compensatory supplement if the total amount of their pension, together with all allowances, increases and other supplements, does not exceed 10,340 hryvnias.

The amount of the monthly supplement depends on age:

570 hryvnias – for citizens aged 80 and over;

456 hryvnias – for pensioners aged 75 to 80;

300 hryvnias – for persons aged 70 to 75.

Age-related compensation is paid regardless of the type of pension – for age, disability or length of service.

Do I need to apply

You do not need to contact the Pension Fund to apply for a supplement.

After reaching the appropriate age, compensation is assigned automatically and is paid together with the basic pension.

If the amount of the payment has not changed after your birthday, the PFU recommends contacting the hotline or checking the information through your personal account on the Pension Fund’s electronic services portal.

What minimum pensions are guaranteed in August

From August 1, the Pension Fund will also provide a minimum guaranteed amount of pensions depending on age and insurance experience.

The guaranteed amounts are:

4,213 UAH – for pensioners aged 80 and over with at least 20 years of insurance experience for women and 25 years for men;

4,050 UAH – for citizens aged 70 to 80 with at least 30 years of insurance experience for women and 35 years for men;
UAH 3,725 for pensioners under 70 years of age with the same insurance experience.

If the actual pension amount is less than the guaranteed minimum, the state will pay the difference every month.

How payments are calculated for less experience

For pensioners over 70 years of age who do not have the required insurance experience (35 years for men and 30 years for women), the minimum pension is determined in proportion to the acquired experience, based on the guaranteed amount of UAH 4,050.

At the same time, for citizens over 80 years of age who have the required insurance experience, the minimum pension cannot be lower than UAH 4,213, and for pensioners aged 75–80 years — lower than UAH 4,050.
