Plasterers receive up to 80 thousand: which professions have become among the highest paid in Ukraine

The Ukrainian labor market has changed significantly over the past four years: labor and construction professions have risen in the salary rankings. In August 2026, four of the five positions with the highest median pay were in such majors.

According to data provided by Mind with reference to the Ministry of Finance and OLX Robot, back in August 2022, the highest median salary among vacancies was offered to truck drivers — UAH 40,000. Repair masters and facade workers were offered UAH 30,000 each, and realtors and builders — UAH 27,500 each.

Plaster — 80,000, facade — 70,000

As of August 2026, the salary picture has changed significantly.

The highest median salary among the analyzed vacancies was offered to the heads of sales departments — UAH 110,000.

However, all other positions in the top 5 were occupied by representatives of construction professions:

plaster — UAH 80,000;
facade worker – UAH 70,000;
tiler — UAH 70,000;
bricklayer — UAH 65,000.

Thus, four of the five highest median salaries in August 2026 were in labor and construction occupations.

Who are employers looking for the most?

At the same time, other professions remain the most in demand. In August, the most vacancies were for sellers — 9,306 ads. The median salary for them was UAH 24.2 thousand.

In second place are drivers: employers published 8,331 vacancies with a median salary of UAH 40,000.

Also among the most popular:

handymen — 5,011 vacancies, median salary UAH 30,000;
loaders — 4,848 vacancies, 28.5 thousand UAH;
cooks — 3,384 vacancies, UAH 29.25 thousand.
Salary is no longer the only criterion

When choosing a job, Ukrainians increasingly evaluate not only the amount of salary. Values ​​also include the possibility of booking, flexible hours, working conditions and stability of the employer.

The data show a noticeable change in the structure of the Ukrainian labor market: if a few years ago high salaries were mainly associated with certain management or office areas, in 2026 skilled labor and construction professions actively entered the top of salary offers.
