President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that Russian troops are trying to implement the plan to capture Pokrovsk, Kostyantynivka and Druzhkivka by the end of April, but currently do not have sufficient resources for this.

The head of state announced this during a conversation with journalists in Transcarpathia within the framework of a meeting of the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities. According to him, such intentions of the enemy remain unchanged, but due to significant losses and lack of forces, the occupiers are forced to constantly postpone deadlines.

“They have this task, but it is unrealistic. There are not enough forces, the losses are great,” Zelenskyy emphasized.

The President also noted that the situation in the Pokrovsk direction remains difficult. At the same time, the Ukrainian military is holding its positions and controlling the situation.

“It is very difficult there, but ours is holding the situation,” he added.

According to the Ukrainian side, the intensity of fighting in this direction remains high, but the enemy is unable to achieve strategic breakthroughs.
