The parliamentary faction of the Servant of the People party held a meeting with the candidate for the post of Prime Minister of Ukraine Serhiy Koretsky. During the conversation, they discussed the key tasks of the future government, its possible structure and approaches to work.
This was reported by the head of the Servant of the People faction, David Arakhamia, on Telegram.
What priorities did Koretsky name
According to Arakhamia, Serhiy Koretsky identified the support of Ukrainians and the country’s preparation for the new heating season among the main tasks of the government.
The candidate for the post of Prime Minister paid special attention to strengthening the Defense Forces of Ukraine and protecting critical infrastructure.
During the meeting, representatives of the faction also discussed the possible structure of the new Cabinet of Ministers and the principles of its further work.
Why do Servant of the People support Koretsky
David Arakhamia emphasized that Serhiy Koretsky has significant experience in both the state and corporate sectors.
In particular, he managed Ukrnafta and the Naftogaz group. The parliamentary faction particularly notes his experience in the energy sector.
According to Arakhamia, during the last heating season, gas remained an energy resource that was steadily supplied to consumers despite Russian attacks on production and storage facilities.
The faction considers this experience to be especially important on the eve of the winter, which may become one of the most difficult for Ukraine.
