After completing their work, certain categories of Ukrainians are entitled to additional one-time cash assistance from the state. This is a payment, the amount of which can be ten monthly pensions at once.
This was reported by the Main Department of the Pension Fund of Ukraine in the Kyiv region.
Who can receive the payment
The right to a one-time assistance is granted to employees of state and municipal institutions who worked in the following areas:
education;
healthcare;
social protection of the population.
However, in order to receive funds, a number of mandatory conditions must be met.
What requirements must be met
The Pension Fund explained that upon reaching retirement age, a person must continue to work in a state or municipal institution. At the same time, their position must be included in a special list of professions that give the right to a pension for long service in accordance with the resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers No. 909.
Requirements for insurance experience have also been established:
for men – at least 35 years;
for women – at least 30 years.
Another mandatory condition is the absence of any other pension payments by the time the pension is assigned.
How much will be paid in 2026
If all conditions are met, the pensioner is assigned a lump-sum cash benefit in the amount of ten monthly pensions, calculated as of the date of retirement.
The Pension Fund emphasizes that such a payment is not subject to taxation.
In addition to this benefit, in 2026 other types of state support are also provided for pensioners – annual payments to veterans until Independence Day, age allowances for citizens over 70 years of age, as well as additional payments for special services to the state.
