The issue of demobilization of Ukrainian servicemen remains one of the most sensitive during a full-scale war. Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrsky explained under what conditions demobilization can be introduced in Ukraine.
According to Syrsky, the adoption of such a decision requires a deep analysis of all possible consequences, since the main priority remains to preserve the combat capability of the Ukrainian army.
He emphasized that one of the key challenges is the risk of simultaneously releasing a large number of servicemen with combat experience. In such a case, the state must ensure the prompt replacement of these soldiers with trained reservists so that this does not affect the country’s defense capability.
According to the Commander-in-Chief, the demobilization reform is realistic, but its implementation depends on a number of important factors, in particular the mobilization resource of the state.
Separately, Syrsky emphasized that when preparing demobilization mechanisms, it is important to maintain the principle of justice for all categories of servicemen.
As the Commander-in-Chief reported, experts have already developed specific proposals for individual areas of demobilization, but the key condition remains the availability of sufficient reserves to replenish the ranks of the Defense Forces.
In fact, the issue of demobilization directly depends on the pace of mobilization and the state’s ability to ensure continuous rotation of personnel without loss of combat capability at the front.
The military command emphasizes: any changes in this area must be balanced so as not to create additional risks to national security.
