The Cabinet of Ministers formed five government committees: who headed them?

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has approved a new structure of government committees, establishing five permanent government committees and determining their personal composition.
The relevant decision was made by the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine dated July 29, 2026 No. 985.
What government committees have been established
The Government has established the Government Committee on the Fuel and Energy Complex, Industrial Policy, Environmental Protection, Natural Resources, Digital Transformation, Development of Innovations, Technologies, National Security, Defense, Veterans and Healthcare.
The First Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Energy Denys Shmyhal has been appointed its Chairman.
The Government Committee on Humanitarian and Social Policy, Public Administration, National Unity, Temporarily Occupied Territories and Internally Displaced Persons has also been established, headed by the Deputy Prime Minister for Humanitarian Policy – Minister of Culture of Ukraine Tetyana Berezhna.
Another committee will work on issues of European and Euro-Atlantic integration, international cooperation, law enforcement and legal policy. The Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration of Ukraine, Vsevolod Chentsov, has been appointed as its chairman.
In addition, the Cabinet of Ministers has established the Government Committee on the Reconstruction of Ukraine, Development of Communities, Territories, Infrastructure, Transport and Housing and Communal Services, headed by the Minister for Reconstruction, Infrastructure and Transport, Mykola Kalashnyk.
The fifth was the Government Committee on Economic, Financial, Agrarian, Investment, Sanctions Policy, Development of Entrepreneurship and Effective Management of State Property. The Minister of Economy and Environment, Oleksandr Kravchenko, has been appointed as its chairman.
What preceded
The new structure of government committees was formed after the renewal of the composition of the Cabinet of Ministers.
As a reminder, on July 16, 2026, the Verkhovna Rada appointed Serhiy Koretsky as Prime Minister of Ukraine, after which the parliament approved the new composition of the government based on his proposal.
Government committees are working bodies of the Cabinet of Ministers that preliminarily consider draft regulatory legal acts, coordinate the activities of ministries in relevant areas, and prepare issues for consideration at government meetings.
