The CEC registered two new people’s deputies from the “Servant of the People” party.

The Central Election Commission has registered Viktoriya Reznikova and Bohdan Morklyanyk as people’s deputies of Ukraine from the Servant of the People party. They will take the places of Denis Maslov and Vitaliy Bezgin, who joined the new Cabinet of Ministers.

Who was registered by the CEC

As noted in the Central Election Commission, Bohdan Morklyanyk and Viktoriya Reznikova were elected to the Verkhovna Rada in the 2019 snap parliamentary elections on the Servant of the People party list.

They were listed on the electoral list of the political force under No. 163 and No. 165, respectively.

The commission considered the submitted documents and officially registered them as people’s deputies of Ukraine in accordance with the requirements of electoral legislation.

When will the new deputies start work

The powers of the newly elected parliamentarians will begin after they take the oath in the Verkhovna Rada.

On July 22, the CEC recognized Morklyanyk and Reznikov as elected people’s deputies after the early termination of the powers of Denis Maslov and Vitaliy Bezgin.

Why did the previous deputies resign

On July 16, the Verkhovna Rada approved the new composition of the Cabinet of Ministers, headed by Prime Minister Serhiy Koretsky.

In the new government:

Denys Maslov headed the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine;

Vitaliy Bezgin became the head of the newly created Ministry of Communities, Territories and Internally Displaced Persons.

It was because of the transition to the government that their deputy mandates became vacant, and the following candidates on the party list were given the right to take seats in parliament.
