The government allocated UAH 281 million for additional payments to workers restoring energy after the Russian attacks

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has decided to allocate UAH 281.3 million for the payment of additional payments for February to workers involved in the restoration of energy infrastructure damaged by Russian missile and drone attacks. Financing is provided from the reserve fund of the state budget, the Ministry of Energy reported.

More than 14 thousand workers of repair and restoration teams will receive additional payments, including energy workers, utility workers, gas workers and railway workers. The amount of the additional payment is UAH 20 thousand, Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko specified.

According to the government decision, UAH 190.74 million will be sent to the Ministry of Energy, and another UAH 90.56 million to the Ministry of Community and Territorial Development.

The Cabinet of Ministers notes that the decision was made in fulfillment of the Prime Minister’s instructions, taking into account the priority of the prompt restoration of critical infrastructure after the Russian attacks.

It is expected that additional funding will support specialists who ensure the uninterrupted functioning of the energy system under martial law.
