The High Council of Justice has decided to dismiss three judges in connection with their submission of resignation applications. The relevant materials were considered at a meeting of the High Council of Justice.
This is a dismissal under general circumstances provided for by the legislation on the judiciary and the status of judges.
Who left their positions
Following the results of the consideration, the High Council of Justice decided to dismiss:
Yurii Vasyliovych Zhiznievskyi — from the position of judge of the Zhytomyr Court of Appeal
Petr Dmytrovych Denisyuk — from the position of judge of the Rivne City Court of Rivne Region
Lidia Ivanivna Pylypchuk — from the position of judge of the Poltava Court of Appeal
The procedure for the resignation of judges
The resignation of a judge is one of the grounds for termination of powers provided for by law. It is carried out on the judge’s own initiative and requires a corresponding decision of the High Council of Justice.
After dismissal, judges, as a rule, retain the right to judicial remuneration in the form of a lifetime cash allowance in accordance with established norms.
