The HQCJ has published the results of the qualification evaluation of judges: two are awaiting a decision, one has been recommended for dismissal

The Board of the High Qualification Commission of Judges of Ukraine adopted a decision based on the results of the qualification assessment of three judges of local courts for their suitability for the position.

Based on the results of the consideration, the Commission determined different procedural consequences for each of the judges.

Thus, regarding the judge of the Commercial Court of Kyiv, Natalia Zelenina, a decision was made to announce a break in the consideration of the issue. This means that the assessment is not completed and will be continued after additional study of the materials.

Regarding the judge of the Kyiv-Svyatoshyn District Court of Kyiv Region, Vitaliy Nikushyn, the Commission concluded that he was unfit for the position. In particular, it was established that the judge did not pass the exam within the framework of the qualification assessment procedure. In this regard, he was denied admission to the next stage – the study of the dossier and the interview. The HQCJ also decided to submit a submission to the High Council of Justice with a recommendation to dismiss the judge.

At the same time, the consideration of the issue of the judge of the Commercial Court of Mykolaiv region, Viktoriya Korytska, has been postponed, which indicates the need for additional analysis of the materials of her dossier.

The Commission emphasizes that the qualification assessment is a key element of the judicial reform, aimed at ensuring the integrity, professionalism and suitability of judges for their positions. The final decisions on the dismissal of judges are made by the High Council of Justice on the basis of relevant submissions.

Thus, the results of the meeting once again demonstrate the rigidity of approaches to the assessment of the judicial corps and the continuation of the processes of cleaning the judicial system.
