The Security Service of Ukraine, together with the National Police of Ukraine, reported suspicions to a number of high-ranking officials of the Kyiv City State Administration and heads of strategic municipal enterprises of the capital. The investigation is investigating several large-scale episodes related to the embezzlement of budget funds, land fraud and abuse of international humanitarian aid.

According to sources, suspicions have already been received by the director of the land resources department, Valentyna Pelykh, the former director of the transport department, Ruslan Kandybor, the director of the Kyivshlyakhmist municipal enterprise, Bohdan Kobernyuk, and the former head of the Pleso municipal enterprise, Vyacheslav Savytsky.

Separately, law enforcement officers are conducting investigative actions and questioning employees of the Kyivteleservice and Informatika municipal enterprises as part of an investigation into the purchase of equipment and batteries at inflated prices.

According to the investigation, these are systemic corruption schemes that could have caused significant losses to the capital’s budget. Law enforcement officers do not rule out new suspicions, and are also investigating the possible involvement of other officials in the organization and cover-up of these schemes.
