Oleksandr Dubinsky may be transferred from the Lukyanivka pre-trial detention center to the Mensk correctional colony No. 91 in the Chernihiv region. The State Bureau of Investigation has filed a corresponding petition with the court.
As reported by the “Court Reporter”, the State Bureau of Investigation believes that the people’s deputy, who is suspected of treason, had contacts with individual employees of the pre-trial detention center and other defendants in cases of crimes against national security.
The investigation claims about contacts and transfer of information
The investigation materials indicate that Dubinsky allegedly maintained contact with suspects in treason and could transfer information outside the institution. That is why law enforcement officers insist on changing the place of detention to ensure proper isolation.
The State Bureau also claims that even while in the pre-trial detention center, the people’s deputy continued anti-state information activities. According to the investigation, the content was created on laptops brought to him by lawyers, and his wife was responsible for publishing the materials.
Dubinsky denies the charges
During the court hearing on May 11, Dubinsky opposed the transfer to the Menskaya colony. He called the new suspicion fabricated and stated that he had not contacted the other suspects mentioned in the case materials.
Currently, the issue of the MP’s transfer is under consideration by the investigating judge of the Pechersky District Court of Kyiv.
Treason case
As a reminder, in November 2023, Oleksandr Dubinsky was first informed of suspicion of treason and participation in a criminal organization, which, according to the investigation, was formed by the Russian GRU. Investigators claim that the MP acted in the interests of Russian special services under the pseudonym “Buratino”.
