The Supreme Court of Justice has scheduled a hearing in the case of an official of Ukrzaliznytsia regarding a bribe of $100,000.

The Supreme Anti-Corruption Court has scheduled a preparatory hearing in the case of Oleksiy Obrizhan, Deputy Director of the Department of JSC Ukrzaliznytsia, who is accused of receiving $100,000 in illegal gain. The hearing is scheduled for September 23, 2026.

The Supreme Anti-Corruption Court has scheduled a hearing on the criminal case for September 23 at 2:00 p.m.

The official is accused of committing a criminal offense under Part 4 of Article 368 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

What is the Ukrzaliznytsia official accused of?

According to the investigation, the company, which operates in the field of mineral extraction, planned to expand the boundaries of the quarry. To this end, its representatives contacted Ukrzaliznytsia regarding the dismantling of the reserve bypass track and the execution of the relevant documentation.

The investigation claims that the Ukrzaliznytsia official estimated the assistance in resolving this issue at $100,000.

Earlier, the National Police and the State Bureau of Investigation reported that the official had been exposed for receiving illegal benefits. Subsequently, the case was transferred to the National Anti-Corruption Bureau and the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office.

The court set bail at UAH 4.36 million

Earlier, the Pechersky District Court of Kyiv took Obrizhan into custody and set an alternative preventive measure in the form of UAH 4.36 million in bail. Bail was posted.

The accused is assigned a number of procedural obligations. In particular, he must appear upon each request, not leave Kyiv and the Kyiv region without permission, report any change of residence and work, and also hand over his foreign passports for safekeeping.

In addition, he must refrain from communicating with a representative of Shepetivsky Grand Quarry Pronex LLC.

The next stage will be the preparatory meeting of the VAKS, scheduled for September 23.
