The High Anti-Corruption Court has imposed a preventive measure on former Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration and former Ambassador of Ukraine to the United States Olga Stefanishyna, who is suspected of illegal enrichment and declaring false information.

The court ruled to apply a preventive measure to Stefanishyna in the form of a bail of 6 million hryvnias.

What obligations did the court impose

In addition to posting bail, the court obliged Olga Stefanishyna to:

come to each summons of NABU detectives and prosecutors;

report a change of residence;

refrain from communicating with witnesses in criminal proceedings.

These procedural obligations will apply within the framework of the pre-trial investigation.

What is the former government official suspected of?

According to the National Anti-Corruption Bureau and the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office, Olga Stefanishyna illegally enriched herself and also provided false information in her declaration.

As a reminder, on August 5, the NABU and the SAPO officially notified the former government official of the suspicion. The pre-trial investigation into the case is ongoing.
