The Transport Committee of the Rada began considering amendments to the law on railway interoperability

The Verkhovna Rada Committee on Transport and Infrastructure has begun consideration of amendments and proposals to the draft law No. 14174 “On the safety and interoperability of railway transport in Ukraine”.
The head of the Committee, Yuriy Kisel, wrote about this on Facebook.
According to him, during the meeting, the committee members decided on procedural issues and proceeded directly to the processing of amendments to the document.
Government officials and industry representatives joined the discussion
Representatives of the Ministry of Development of Communities and Territories, Ukrtransbezpeka and Ukrzaliznytsia also participated in the meeting.
Draft law No. 14174 concerns issues of safety and technical compatibility of railway transport in Ukraine in accordance with European standards.
Consideration of amendments was previously postponed
As previously reported, the transport committee was unable to begin consideration of amendments to the draft law on interoperability. Currently, work on the document has officially moved to the stage of processing the submitted proposals.
