The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine has adopted a decision to establish an advisory group of experts to conduct a preliminary selection of candidates for the positions of members of the Accounting Chamber. The corresponding resolution was supported by 263 people’s deputies.
On October 14, 2026, the parliament supported resolution No. 16095 on the establishment of an advisory group of experts to conduct a preliminary selection of candidates for the Accounting Chamber.
Who entered the advisory group
Based on the results of the rating selection, three candidates were identified:
Hlib Vyshlinskyi — 204 votes;
Mykola Marchenko — 265 votes;
Myroslava Maslyak — 202 votes.
These candidates are listed among the winners of the rating selection.
What will the advisory group do
The main task of the newly created advisory group will be a preliminary assessment of candidates who will apply for the positions of members of the Accounting Chamber.
The group will participate in the selection procedure preceding the adoption of decisions on the appointment of members of the body.
At the same time, the creation of an advisory group does not mean the appointment of new members of the Accounting Chamber. It is precisely about the formation of an expert mechanism for the preliminary consideration of candidacies.
What is the Accounting Chamber responsible for
The Accounting Chamber is a body that exercises control over the receipt of funds to the State Budget of Ukraine and their use on behalf of the Verkhovna Rada.
Its powers include conducting audits, analyzing the effectiveness of the use of budget resources, and preparing relevant conclusions and recommendations.
The formation of the composition of the Accounting Chamber is important for ensuring independent control over public finances.
As a reminder, on October 14, the Verkhovna Rada supported Resolution No. 16095 on the creation of an advisory group of experts. 263 people’s deputies voted for the relevant decision.
