Trump’s representatives announced new talks between Ukraine, the US and Europe

Representatives of US President Donald Trump, Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner, announced a new trilateral meeting involving Ukraine, the US and Europe. The talks could take place in the near future, and the territorial issue remains among the key topics.

The American representatives stated this during a press conference on September 6 after a visit to Kyiv.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that the next round of talks could take place in the US, Europe or Kyiv. The specific place and date of the meeting have not yet been determined.

Trump instructed to prepare a package for peace

According to Jared Kushner, the US president seeks not only to end the war, but also to create conditions for long-term peace.

Trump instructed his team to prepare an appropriate package of proposals. Representatives of the US administration, in particular US Vice President and Secretary of State Marco Rubio, are involved in this work.

Kushner also reported that during a conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin, the American side discussed a number of ideas that had been considered earlier, but did not yield results.

Zelensky commented on possible conditions

During a press conference, Zelensky was asked what proposals the American representatives brought after the talks in Moscow.

The president noted that Ukraine needs time to analyze the information received in detail and determine the next steps.

According to him, the parties are trying to understand what conditions can ensure lasting peace and what the interests of Ukraine, Russia and the international community will be within the framework of possible agreements.

The US wants to achieve a turning point before winter

US representatives said that they are striving to achieve a turning point in the settlement of the war before the beginning of winter.

At the same time, Zelensky suggested that hostilities could continue in the winter. In such a scenario, Ukraine expects to receive a winter support package from the United States.

Before traveling to Kyiv, Witkoff and Kushner visited Moscow. The talks there lasted more than three hours.
