Turkey confirms readiness to facilitate talks between Ukraine and Russia
Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan met with Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Rustem Umerov in Ankara.

“Our Minister Hakan Fidan met with Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Rustem Umerov in Ankara,” the Turkish Foreign Ministry said in a message on the X social network.
Ankara declares readiness to organize talks
Turkey does not rule out a summit at the level of leaders
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan previously confirmed Ankara’s readiness to facilitate direct talks between Ukraine and Russia.
During his speech at the 5th Antalya Diplomatic Forum on April 17, Erdogan said that Turkey is ready to help organize the negotiation process, including a possible summit at the leadership level, if both sides agree to it.
Ukraine supports the idea of a meeting mediated by Turkey
Kyiv does not rule out the participation of the United States in the negotiations
Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiga previously also confirmed Ukraine’s readiness for a meeting at the level of leaders of Ukraine and the Russian Federation with the participation of Turkey.
During the ADF-Talks public discussion at the Antalya Diplomatic Forum, he emphasized that Ukraine is counting on the support of the Turkish side in organizing such negotiations.
According to Sybiga, the potential format of the meeting could also involve the United States.
