Kyiv calls on international organizations to take a tough stance on Russian terror

Ukraine has appealed to international organizations to give a decisive response to Russia’s massive missile strike on Kyiv.

This was stated by Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiga, who said that Ukrainian diplomatic missions have been instructed to make maximum use of international response mechanisms.

According to Sybiga, Ukraine has immediately requested to hold:

an urgent meeting of the UN Security Council;

a joint meeting of the OSCE Forum for Security Co-operation and the OSCE Permanent Council.

The Ukrainian side also expects a tough response from:

the UN;

the OSCE;
the Council of Europe;

UNESCO.

The Foreign Ministry stressed that Russia is trying to compensate for the lack of military successes on the front with terror against the civilian population.

The Ukrainian side also states that the Kremlin is trying to intimidate the international community with ballistic missile strikes on peaceful cities.
