In Ukraine, more than 23 thousand families have already applied for participation in the “e-Nursery” program. It provides monthly financial assistance to parents who return to work after their child turns one year old. More than 15 thousand families are already receiving such payments.

According to the First Deputy Minister of Social Policy, Family and Unity of Ukraine Lyudmila Shemelynets, a total of about UAH 600 million has already been allocated to the program.

The “e-Nursery” program has been in operation since January 1, 2026. The assistance is assigned from the month following the child’s first birthday, provided that one of the parents goes to work. It can be received until the month in which the child turns three.

How much is paid under the “e-Nursery” program

In 2026, the basic payment is UAH 8 thousand per month.

For families raising a child with a disability, the amount increases to UAH 12 thousand per month.

Parents whose children are already one year old as of January 1, 2026, will be able to receive assistance from the start of the program, provided that the application is submitted within six months.

If one of the parents returned to work later, you can also apply for the payment within six months. The start date of the payments will depend on the date of starting work and the age of the child.

What you can spend the money on

The e-Nursery assistance has a specific purpose. The funds can be used primarily to pay for childcare services.

In particular, it is allowed to pay for:

services of private kindergartens;
services of individuals who officially care for children;
meals and paid services of state and municipal kindergartens;
clubs and additional classes;
the child’s stay in special groups.

Payments can also be spent on a number of children’s goods – clothes and shoes, toys and sports goods.

How to receive payment on “Diya.Kartka”

Since the beginning of August, assistance under the “e-Nursery” program can be received on a special account “Child Care” opened within “Diya.Kartka”.

You can open a card through the application of one of the partner banks. Registration is also available when personally contacting the service center of the Pension Fund, the Central Assistance Center or an authorized person of the territorial community. An alternative option is a special account in Oschadbank, which is opened by the Pension Fund.

Do I need to re-submit documents

Those who already receive assistance under the “e-Nursery” program and want to switch to “Diya.Kartka” do not need to re-submit the entire package of documents.

To change the account, it is enough to contact the Pension Fund, the Central Assistance Center or an authorized person of the territorial community and submit an appropriate application. If a family is entitled to several state payments at once, they can be credited to one special account.
