Ukrainians can receive cash assistance of up to UAH 10,800: who is eligible and how to apply

In the spring of 2026, some Ukrainians will be able to apply for additional financial assistance in the amount of UAH 1,800 per month for six months. The program is implemented with the support of the Ukrainian Red Cross and the US Department of State.

Where does the program operate

Monetary support is provided to residents of the Putyvl community of Sumy region within the framework of the project “Assistance in responding to national crises, humanitarian operations and strengthening resilience”.

Residents of the following starostyn districts can apply:

Zinivskyi;
Babynskyi;
Volokitynskyi;
Vyazenskyi;
Zarichchanskyi;
Rudnevskyi.
Who can receive assistance

The following have the priority right to payments:

people with disabilities of groups I–III;
citizens over 65 years of age;
internally displaced persons;
families raising two or more children;
single parents or guardians with young children;
low-income families.
What is the amount of payments

Under the terms of the program, each family member can receive:

1,800 UAH per month;
in total – 10,800 UAH for six months.

The funds can be used for basic needs:

food;
medicines;
payment of utility bills;
transport;
clothing and footwear.

What other assistance programs are operating in Ukraine

Other international support programs also continue to operate in Ukraine:

UNHCR Ukraine accepts applications for financial assistance for IDPs and refugees in Kyiv. The amount of payments can reach 12,300 UAH depending on life circumstances.
The Danish Refugee Council is registering entrepreneurs in Kharkiv and Mykolaiv regions to receive grants of up to $5,000 to restore their businesses.
