Registration for cash assistance for vulnerable categories of the population who have suffered as a result of Russian aggression has started in the Kharkiv region. The program provides for the payment of 2,000 hryvnias every three months throughout 2027. The total amount of assistance may amount to 8,000 hryvnias per person per year.
Who can receive 2,000 hryvnias in assistance
The charity program is implemented in the Slobozhansk territorial community of the Chuhuyiv district of the Kharkiv region with the support of international donors Howard G. Buffett Foundation and GEM Inc.
Financial support is aimed at citizens who have suffered from a full-scale war and belong to socially vulnerable categories.
The following are eligible for assistance:
Internally displaced persons who arrived in the community from temporarily occupied territories or areas of hostilities.
Displaced persons and local residents with disabilities.
Parents of children with disabilities.
Large families.
Payments are provided in the amount of 2,000 hryvnias per quarter throughout 2027.
It is important that the program operates only in the territory of a specific community, and not throughout Ukraine.

Registration number of the taxpayer’s account card (identification code).
Certificate of an internally displaced person – for displaced persons.
A document confirming belonging to one of the specified vulnerable categories.
Certificate of opening an account with FUIB or a corresponding statement from your personal bank account.

How much money can be received during the year
The program provides for four payments during 2027.
The amount of one payment is 2,000 hryvnias. Thus, if all four payments are received, the total amount of financial support will be 8,000 hryvnias.
The funds will be provided at the expense of international charitable aid.
At the same time, submitting documents in itself does not mean automatic allocation of payments. Applicants must meet the established criteria of the program.
What other assistance programs are in operation in Ukraine
In addition to the above initiative, other programs to support the population affected by the war are implemented in Ukraine.
In particular, in Kryvyi Rih, registration for financial assistance from UNHCR Ukraine is available for citizens who have suffered from shelling or were forced to evacuate. The amount of support starts from 10,800 hryvnias.
The non-governmental organization Fight For Right also implements a program to assist people with disabilities in six regions of Ukraine. When determining recipients, the circumstances of forced displacement and the presence of several people with disabilities in the family are taken into account.
Citizens are recommended to follow official announcements from local authorities and charitable organizations regarding registration conditions and possible changes in document acceptance schedules.
