Ukrainians can still receive UAH 5,000 per child: applications are accepted until November 1

Parents of first-graders can still apply for a one-time state payment of UAH 5,000 under the “Student Package” program. The application must be submitted by November 1, 2026.

The assistance is intended for families whose children entered the first grade this year. The payment can be made online through the “Diya” application.

How to apply for UAH 5,000

To apply for the “Student Package”, you must:

go to the “Diya” application;

open Services → State Assistance → Student Package;

select a child who has entered the first grade;
open a Diya.Card with a “Child Care” account, if it does not already exist;
select a card for the assistance;
check the specified data;
sign the application using Diya.Signature.

After the assistance is assigned, the funds are credited to the special “Child Care” account of the Diya.Card.

What is allowed to spend money on

A one-time allowance of 5,000 hryvnias is provided to provide a first-grader with the necessary things for school.

The funds can be used, in particular, to purchase school supplies, children’s clothes and shoes.

You need to apply by November 1

Parents who have not yet applied for assistance should take into account the deadline: applications under the program are accepted until November 1, 2026.

As of mid-September, more than 163 thousand applications for the “Student Package” have already been approved in Ukraine.

Thus, families of first-graders who meet the conditions of the program and have not yet received the payment have time to apply for it through “Diya” before the end of the established deadline.
