Every taxpayer in Ukraine has the right to receive individual tax advice (ITA). The State Tax Service of Ukraine reminded about this.

The State Tax Service notes that such advice helps to officially clarify the application of tax legislation in a specific situation of the taxpayer.

How to get an ITA

Tax advice is provided free of charge in written or electronic form.

You can submit an application in several ways:

in paper form by mail;

through the Taxpayer’s Electronic Cabinet;

to an e-mail address.

The State Tax Service explained that a response to an application is provided within 25 calendar days from the moment of its receipt.

At the same time, if the issue requires additional study, the consideration period may be extended by another 15 calendar days. The taxpayer must be notified of this in advance.

What data must be indicated in the application

To receive individual tax advice, the application must be drawn up in accordance with the requirements of the law.

In particular, it is necessary to indicate:

last name, first name and patronymic or name of the legal entity;
tax address, phone number and e-mail (if available);
registration number of the taxpayer’s registration card or passport data – for individuals;
EDRPOU code – for legal entities;
detailed description of the situation and the essence of the issue;
date of the application;
signature of the applicant or EDS/Electronic Digital Signature in case of an electronic application.

The tax service emphasizes that a correctly completed request is a prerequisite for receiving an official response.
