Ukrainians will be paid UAH 19,400 for the heating season: who will receive assistance

About 380 thousand Ukrainian families in frontline communities will receive a one-time assistance of 19,400 hryvnias to get through the heating season. In total, 7.4 billion hryvnias will be allocated to the program.

This was announced by the Prime Minister of Ukraine Serhiy Koretsky on September 7.

Who will receive 19,400 hryvnias

The assistance is provided for vulnerable categories of the population living in frontline communities.

In particular, the following will be able to receive the payment:

people with disabilities;

single pensioners;

internally displaced persons;

recipients of housing subsidies;

large and foster families;
single mothers;
families raising children with disabilities;
family-type orphanages;

foster families.

In total, about 380 thousand families are to receive the payments.

Where will the money come from

The assistance program will receive 7.4 billion hryvnias provided by international humanitarian organizations.

According to the Prime Minister, part of the funding came from UNICEF and the Ukrainian Red Cross through the Humanitarian Account of the Ministry of Social Policy.

How to receive payment

To receive a one-time assistance, you must submit an application by October 30, 2026.

You can apply through:

Pension Fund of Ukraine;

ASC;
local authorities.

You can receive 19,400 hryvnias to a bank account or through the postal operator Ukrposhta.

The assistance is intended to support the most vulnerable families in frontline communities during the 2026–2027 heating season.
