VAKS chooses preventive measure “Muzi” in the “Carthage” case: what is known

On September 7, the High Anti-Corruption Court continued its consideration of the issue of choosing a preventive measure for Elizaveta Ivakhnenko, who appears in NABU materials under the pseudonym “Muse”. She is a defendant in the “Carthage” case regarding the alleged “covering” of a network of fraudulent call centers.
The Anti-Corruption Center reported on the continuation of the trial. Earlier, the hearing on the preventive measure for Ivakhnenko was postponed to September 7.
What is Ivakhnenko suspected of
According to the investigation, the members of the criminal organization systematically received illegal benefits and legalized over 42 million hryvnias.
According to the CPC, citing investigation materials, in April-June 2026, Ivakhnenko’s mother received 1.78 million hryvnias into her account.
Ivakhnenko is also accused of assisting Serhiy Kropyva in purchasing a 2023 Mercedes-Benz car with funds that the investigation considers to have been obtained through criminal means.
SAPO announced the legalization of 21.6 million hryvnias
The prosecutor of the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office stated that an employee of the Prosecutor General’s Office Serhiy Kropyva, who appears in the case materials under the pseudonym “Chancellor”, with the participation of Ivakhnenko organized the legalization and laundering of 21.6 million hryvnias.
According to the prosecutor, this is the period from August 2025 to September 2026.
With these funds, according to the prosecution, real estate was purchased in Kyiv and Odessa.
Earlier, the Supreme Court of Criminal Appeals chose a preventive measure for Serhiy Kropyva in the form of detention with the possibility of posting a bail of 120 million hryvnias.
What is known about the “Carthage” case
Elizaveta Ivakhnenko was previously identified by the Anti-Corruption Center “Border” as a woman who appears under the pseudonym “Muza” in published NABU materials.
The “Carthage” case concerns the alleged activities of a criminal organization and the “covering” of a network of fraudulent call centers.
The consideration of the issue of the preventive measure against Ivakhnenko at the Supreme Court of Criminal Appeals is ongoing.
