President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a meeting with Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiga, during which the parties agreed on the key priorities of the state’s foreign policy for the nearest period. Particular attention was paid to the European direction, where Ukraine is counting on tangible diplomatic results as early as May.

According to the head of state, a number of personnel decisions were also agreed upon in the structure of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine and in the Ukrainian ambassadorial corps. An update of diplomatic positions is expected, taking into account the current challenges and needs of the state in the international arena.

Separately, during the meeting, Ukraine’s positions on votes in international organizations were determined, which should be aimed at supporting peace and strengthening international support for Ukraine.

The President also stressed the need to intensify cooperation with international partners to counter the so-called “shadow” schemes of Russia, in particular the illegal export of Ukrainian grain. According to him, Ukraine is preparing sanctions against all those involved in such schemes.

These statements were made against the background of information about the possible involvement of foreign partners in the transportation of Ukrainian grain from the temporarily occupied territories, which may result in new diplomatic escalation.
