President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky signed decrees No. 587/2026 and No. 588/2026, which put into effect the decision of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine on the application of new personal special economic and other restrictive measures (sanctions). The sanctions include enterprises that ensure the operation of the Russian military-industrial complex, as well as individuals and legal entities that support the armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine.
The relevant decrees were published on the official website of the President of Ukraine.
Sanctions against suppliers of the Russian military-industrial complex
The new sanctions package is aimed at companies that supply equipment and technologies to Russian defense enterprises, in particular those that manufacture components for missile weapons.
Among the entities to which restrictions have been applied:
the Burevisnyk center, which is involved in the production of mortar complexes and 152 mm Malva self-propelled artillery installations;
KAM-Engineering, a company that provides final testing of combat aircraft components and individual missile systems of the Russian Federation.
The restrictions also apply to the founders, managers and related persons of the aforementioned companies. In total, 30 legal entities and 42 individuals have been added to the sanctions list.
Restrictions on propagandists and persons who support the occupation
A separate decision of the National Security and Defense Council imposed sanctions against 15 more individuals and 8 legal entities who, according to the Ukrainian authorities, contribute to the implementation of the aggressive policy of the Russian Federation, engage in Kremlin propaganda, spread disinformation and operate in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine.
The sanctions list includes, in particular:
military blogger Volodymyr Romanov, who publicly supports Russian aggression and participates in hostilities;
former military pilot Ilya Tumanov, known as one of the Russian propagandists;
Moscow City Duma deputy, former athlete Maria Kyseleva, who repeatedly supported the war against Ukraine and visited temporarily occupied Ukrainian territories.
The purpose of the new restrictions
The Presidential Commissioner for Sanctions Policy of Ukraine Vladyslav Vlasyuk noted that the sanctions mechanism will continue to expand.
According to him, each new decision is aimed at strengthening the international isolation of Russian enterprises working for the defense industry, making it more difficult for them to access modern technologies, equipment, financial resources and international cooperation.
“Sanctions should make participation in supporting the Russian military machine toxic and economically unprofitable,” Vladyslav Vlasyuk emphasized.
Recall that on June 26, the President of Ukraine already put into effect the NSDC decision to extend the current ones and introduce new sanctions against companies that ensure the activities of the military-industrial complex of the Russian Federation.
