NGO “Protection of the Rights of Lawyers of Ukraine” is an association created to protect lawyers

The NGO “Protection of Lawyers’ Rights in Ukraine” is a professional community of lawyers united around one fundamental goal: to protect the guarantees of legal practice, the professional rights of lawyers, and to respond to any forms of pressure on the legal profession.

The organization was created as a response to the reality in which the legal profession is increasingly faced with illegal pressure, attempts to identify a lawyer with a client, violations of the guarantees of legal practice, interference with legal secrecy, unfounded searches, summonses, interrogations, and other forms of persecution.

The NGO “Protection of Lawyers’ Rights in Ukraine” unites lawyers who believe that the protection of lawyers’ rights is not a formality or a secondary issue, but one of the key conditions for the existence of an independent legal profession and fair justice in the state.

What does the NGO “Protection of Lawyers’ Rights in Ukraine” do:

responds to lawyers’ appeals regarding violations of the guarantees of legal practice;
provides legal support in cases of pressure, persecution or obstruction of the legal professional activity of a lawyer;
prepares appeals, statements, legal positions, analytical materials and other documents to protect the rights of lawyers;
communicates with state bodies and institutions in cases related to violations of the rights of lawyers;
systematically highlights cases of interference in the practice of law and draws attention to the problems of the legal profession;
conducts educational and educational events for lawyers, lawyers, business and all those interested in the protection of professional rights and guarantees of legal activity.

The organization does not duplicate the functions of the bodies of bar self-government, but acts as an additional professional tool of protection, which can be promptly included in situations where a lawyer needs support, professional response and solidarity of colleagues.

NGO “Protection of the Rights of Lawyers of Ukraine” is an independent public organization that is not part of the structure of the UNBA or any other legal formations and carries out its activities independently and independently. At the same time, the organization is open to professional interaction and cooperation with all institutions, associations and colleagues, if such cooperation is aimed at the real protection of the rights of lawyers, guarantees of legal activity and the interests of the legal profession as a whole.

A special role in the activities of the NGO is played by the practical experience of its founder and chairman – Volodymyr Klochkov (Владимир Клочков), a lawyer who has been engaged in the protection of the rights of lawyers for many years and has significant experience in responding to violations of the guarantees of legal activity.

The NGO “Protection of the Rights of Lawyers of Ukraine” is about professional solidarity, principledness, readiness to respond and protect a lawyer not only in words, but also with concrete actions.
