The Supreme Court did not satisfy the appeal of the defense of NABU detective Ruslan Maghamedrasulov, who tried to get the sentence of former MP Fedor Khrystenko reviewed. The details of Khrystenko’s agreement with the prosecutor’s office and the verdict itself remain classified.

On September 28, the panel of the Cassation Criminal Court of the Supreme Court rejected the appeal of the defense of Ruslan Maghamedrasulov. His lawyers appealed the decision of the Kyiv Court of Appeal regarding the verdict of Fedor Khrystenko.

Earlier, the Court of Appeal returned the appeal of Maghamedrasulov’s lawyers. The court proceeded from the fact that the verdict of Khrystenko does not concern the interests of the NABU detective. After that, the defense appealed to the Supreme Court, but it was not possible to get the decision reviewed.

What is known about Khrystenko’s agreement

In December 2025, the Pechersky District Court of Kyiv approved the plea agreement concluded between Fedor Khrystenko and the prosecutor’s office.

The content of the agreement and the verdict are not publicly disclosed – the materials are classified for security and national security reasons.

At the same time, Maghamedrasulov’s lawyer Olena Shcherban stated that, according to the defense, the agreement contains Khrystenko’s testimony regarding employees of the NABU and SAPO.

At the same time, the then Prosecutor General Ruslan Kravchenko publicly denied the information that Khrystenko’s agreement refers to the leadership of anti-corruption agencies.

Thus, after the Supreme Court’s decision, the attempt by Maghamedrasulov’s defense to appeal the procedural decision regarding Khrystenko’s verdict was unsuccessful. The content of the agreement itself, around which the dispute arose, remains closed to the public.
