US President Donald Trump has announced the possibility of concluding a large-scale agreement that will affect not only Ukraine, but also all of Europe. According to him, Russia’s war against Ukraine is coming to an end.

The American leader announced this on November 5 during a conversation with journalists at the White House.

“An agreement will be reached. This will be a large-scale agreement, and it will not only affect Ukraine. It will not only affect Ukraine, and I can even say that it may affect all of Europe. It will be a big, wonderful agreement, and everyone will be delighted,” Trump said.

At the same time, the US president did not disclose the specific terms of the future agreement and did not specify when exactly it could be concluded.

Trump held a meeting with Putin’s special representative

On November 5, the American president met with Russian dictator Vladimir Putin’s special representative Kirill Dmitriev. The details of the negotiations remain unknown.

Trump also said that he did not meet with Ukrainian representatives that day.

At the same time, representatives of Ukraine and Russia took part in an event at the White House with the participation of the first lady of the United States Melania Trump. Ukraine was represented by the head of the parliamentary faction “Servant of the People” David Arakhamia and the Commissioner for Human Rights of the Verkhovna Rada Dmytro Lubinets.

During a conversation with journalists, Trump was also asked about Russian strikes on the civilian population of Ukraine, in particular on residential buildings, schools and buses. In response, the American president stated that Russia also suffers losses among the civilian population.

Earlier, the special envoy of the US President Steve Witkoff reported that trilateral talks with the participation of representatives of Ukraine, Russia and the United States are planned to be held in Abu Dhabi on November 10-11.

The parties are expected to discuss post-war security guarantees, de-escalation, humanitarian measures and further diplomatic steps to end the war.

Despite Donald Trump’s optimistic statements, the specific provisions of a possible peace agreement have not yet been made public. It is also unknown whether the parties have reached preliminary agreements on key issues for the settlement of the Russia-Ukraine war.
