Tunisia announces tender for purchase of almost 80 thousand tons of corn

The Tunisian State Grain Agency ONF has entered the international market with a large tender for the purchase of feed corn. This concerns about 79.5 thousand tons of grain of any origin.

The deadline for submitting price offers by tenderers is August 21, 2026.

The purchase is planned to be carried out in three separate batches. The grain should be shipped between September 15 and October 25. The specific delivery dates will depend on the country of origin of the corn.

The terms of the tender provide for the possibility of supplying grain from different countries, which opens up opportunities for the participation of a wide range of international exporters.

Such purchases are of interest to Ukraine given its significant role in the world corn market and the traditional orientation of part of its grain exports to North African countries.

Tenders of state importers are also an important indicator of the situation on the international grain market, since their results can demonstrate the current level of demand and price expectations of large buyers.

It is expected that after the closing of the application period, the proposed prices and potential suppliers of corn for Tunisia will be known.
