Ukraine and Germany agree on joint weapons production and defense financing

Ukraine and Germany discussed further strengthening of defense cooperation, including financing the needs of the Ukrainian army, joint production of weapons, and preparations for the next meeting in the Ramstein format.
This was discussed during a telephone conversation between Ukrainian Defense Minister Yevheniy Khmara and German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius.
Ukraine is preparing its own defense plan
During the conversation, the parties discussed the intensification of Russian air attacks.
According to Yevheniy Khmara, among the key threats to Ukraine remain drones and ballistic missiles.
Ukraine, in turn, is working on its own defense plan and is applying asymmetric solutions that are already showing results.
Defense financing and Ramstein
The ministers paid special attention to the financing of Ukraine’s defense needs.
The parties also discussed preparations for the next meeting of the Contact Group on Defense Issues in Ukraine in the Ramstein format.
Khmara stressed that international support remains critically important for the stability of Ukrainian defense.
Joint weapons production
Another area of negotiations was the deepening of cooperation between the defense-industrial complexes of Ukraine and Germany.
The parties discussed the development of joint defense production and the possibility of further expanding interaction between enterprises of the two countries.
Yevheniy Khmara also thanked Germany for its support for Ukraine and its contribution to strengthening Ukrainian defense capabilities.
